Discussion 2

Consider the following questions based on the Shefali Roy (2017) TED Talk:

• What happens when the ethics of an organization come into conflict with ones ethical commitments?
• When something done within an organizationor done to others by that organizationis in conflict with their personal moral code, how should an employee, or volunteer connected to that organization, respond?

Write and post a briefing paper (300400 words) in which you:

• Briefly identify a case study in which that conflict existed/exists. The case study can be real or fictional.
• Describe the response that allows compliance with professional ethics while maintaining personal moral commitments.
• Provide references.

Note: Use the Core Components and Checklist sections of Hermans (2012) White Papers and Briefing Books: A Communications Program Workshop as a general guide. You do not need to include an Executive Summary or Appendices for this Discussion.
