Assignment Requirements

- Your presentation must be created in PowerPoint and then converted to a PDF with speaker notes visible.
Formatting Guidelines
- Submit one PDF file to the Dropbox.
- Speaker notes must be included within the PDF. Notes submitted separately (email or additional files) will not be accepted.
- After uploading, you are responsible for opening your file to confirm that speaker notes appear correctly. If notes are missing, the assignment will be graded without them.
- Use the Turnitin Plagiarism Check before submitting. Scores above 25% may result in point deductions or a zero.

Choose one of the following (no approval needed). Custom topics require prior faculty approval:

Slide Content Requirements
- Use bullet points on all content slides (not on title or references).
- Each slide must include one image that directly supports the slide topic.
- Images must enhance the content, not replace it.
- Infographics or textheavy visuals are not allowed.
- Each content slide must include speaker notes of 45 sentences, expanding on each bullet point.
- Do not place speaker notes on the slide itself.
- Delete all template instructions before submitting.
Research Requirements
- Include 45 peerreviewed research articles published within the last 5 years.
- Do not use blogs, chats, university websites, or Wikipedia.
- Follow current APA style.
Saving Your PowerPoint as a PDF With Notes
- Open your PowerPoint file and select File.
- Choose Print and ensure Print All Slides and Print Slides With Notes are selected.
- Select Save As and choose PDF.
- Click More Options, then Options.
- Under Publish What, select Notes Pages (not Slides).
- Click OK.
- Check Open file after publishing and choose either Standard or Minimum Size.
- Click Save.
You will need to follow these steps below to save your PowerPoint so that your speaker notes are visible:
- Open your PPT and go to file in top left corner.
- Click print option. Make sure “print all slides” and “print slides with notes” is selected.
- Go to Save As on the left hand side and be sure you save as a PDF.
- Under your save as selection, click more options. Select the Options button and click the Publish What pull-down and then select Notes Pages. (If you click slides it will not show the speaker notes)
- Click OK.
- Complete your selection process by checking Open file after publishing and selecting the Optimize for: Standard and Minimum Size choices.
- Click on Save next to the Tools button at the bottom of the box
