Each race and ethnicity views healthcare differently and chooses to access healthcare differently. Healthcare providers need to understand these differences and be able to customize the plan of care to fit the patients culture. Understanding cultural differences is important when planning health promotion programs because if you do not take these differences into account, then a well-intentioned program could fail. In this 2-4 page, typed, double-spaced, APA formatted evaluation, you will pick one culture different than your own and evaluate how they view health and how they access care. If possible, you should seek out a person from the culture that you select and interview them about their views on healthcare in addition to research from scholarly sources. For this assignment, you may choose any culture or ethnicity, different than your own.
