Essays should be 3000 (+/- 10%) words in length. They should be fully referenced according to a recognised referencing system and have a full referencing list at the end (please consult the citation guide produced by the NTU library). You have to use at least 10 academic sources (books, articles in academic journals, chapters in edited books). You should not hesitate to bring in relevant information you may have collected from newspapers, magazines, television programmes or the Internet but please make sure that it is properly referenced. The referencing list is excluded from the word count. Essays should be submitted in Word or RTF format via Dropbox on NOW. YOU MUST: Adapt and answer either Question ONE or TWO. OPTION ONE: “Critically assess the geopolitical significance of [insert chosen actor, region, or process] within the context of Greater Eurasia In your answer, consider relevant historical, theoretical, and contemporary perspectives, and evaluate the implications for regional and global politics. Guidance for Students Choose a specific focus: This could be a country (e.g. Kazakhstan), a conflict (e.g. Russia-Ukraine), or a process (e.g. energy diplomacy). Engage with theory: Apply relevant International Relations, or regional studies theories. Use case studies: Support your analysis with examples and data. Consider multiple perspectives: Include regional, global, and stakeholder viewpoints. Evaluate implications: Discuss short- and long-term consequences for Eurasia and Beyond
