Critical Appraisal of Literature

In Assignment 2, your team identified 10 peer reviewed articles. On this tab your team will critically appraise 5 of those articles. One article should be a quantitative design and one a qualitative design, You may choose the design types for the remaining 3 articles.
Fill in each of the columns on the spreadsheet.
The goal is to decide if the articles will answer your clinical question and provide the evidence you need to make quality improvement changes to your clinical practice.
Use the as a guide to decide on level of evidence for each article.

Tab 2 is where your team will provide a list of all 10 articles you chose during Assignment 2. Cut and paste from your bibliography word doc or Refworks.

Tab 3 is where your team will identify 3 themes and group the articles (the 5 articles your team critically appraised on tab 1) according to the 3 themes. This will help you when you write up the literature review as your final assignment.
Themes are the overarching ideas or patterns that emerge from analyzing multiple scholarly sources. These themes help organize the literature and demonstrate how different studies relate to one another and to your research question (often based on your PICO statement).
