She stumbled from the bar to Valerie’s house. The house appeared to be empty, so she went to the back door, found it unlocked and went inside where she grabbed some jewelry and cash. Then, in an attempt to coverup her crime, she poured gasoline around the house, lit a fire, and ran. Unbeknownst to Carrie, Valerie was sleeping inside the house and died in the fire.
