Crime On Covid

I will add the pre-draft work I started and an example the teacher provided of a completed assignment.

Course Outcomes

In this assignment, you will demonstrate the following course goals:

  • Identify and predict how conventions of genre and format influence their reading and writing.
  • Use writing and reading for inquiry, learning, thinking, and communicating.
  • Synthesize their own ideas with those of others.
  • Develop pieces of writing that present focused, organized, and developed ideas to particular audiences for specific purposes.
  • Locate, evaluate, organize, and use research materials, including those from scholarly library databases; other official databases (e.g., federal government databases); and informal electronic networks and Internet sources.

Task

You will deeply review the scholarly work surrounding your chosen topic to identify subtopics and common ideas. You must use a minimum of six sources and summarize each of these individual sources in the context of these sub-topics and discuss how these sources work together.

Requirements

  1. 1. You will choose at least 6 credible sources that pertain to your topic. Remember to use The WHY Method in selecting credible sources, relying on authors, editors, and publishers with appropriate qualifications and purposes for the topic you are writing about.
  2. You will write a paragraph that introduces your topic and what you plan to research.
  3. Sources are grouped into subtopics which relate to each other topically and are explained by summary.
  4. Each subtopic is introduced with an introduction paragraph that explains how the following research supports or is useful for your topic.
  5. The summary of each source must have two paragraphs. The first paragraph adequately explains the argument and describes relevant information to your topic. The second paragraph presents the WHY Method credentials of the author, editor, and/or publisher of the source, and explains why those credentials are appropriate for this topic.
  6. Each subtopic also requires a concluding paragraph that synthesizes (discusses how the sources work together) the information from the sources.
  7. At the end of the annotated Inquiry, add a conclusion that summarizes your findings and briefly describe how the information from your sources work together to encapsulate your understanding of your topic.
