Communication Studies at Rowan University explores how people, communities, and technology
shape the messages we send and receive. Our program is designed to help students understand
communications role in identity, relationships, culture, media, and civic life, and to foster
thoughtful, ethical, and engaged communicators.
For this reflection, you will articulate your own academic and professional interests within the

have for your future skills and career preparation.
In this 4-5 page (double-spaced) reflection, you will want to identify specific areas of study
within communication that excite you most, what skills you hope to develop through these
courses, and please include questions that you have about specific career/academic paths.

the process? What are you seeking to learn, or become an expert in?

Do you feel more called to the social science or humanistic method of inquiry?
