Using the lesson plan created in Module 2 (attachment Porschea Harris B03 **take note that the previous writer did not follow instructions on the assignment and I received 67% so use the feedback given by professor) and having incorporated feedback from peers and professor, students will record themselves delivering this lesson via PowerPoint both audibly and visually as if they are delivering it live to their previously chosen grade level (grades 6-12). Remember from your week 2 ASCA Lesson Plan Discussion Board Assignment that your chosen topic is to be applicable to all 3 ASCA domains (Academic, Career, AND Social Emotional) and not one specific one such as Career ONLY or Social Emotional ONLY.
Your lesson should include the following items:
1. A demonstration or role play of at least one classroom management strategy during the
presentation (refer to module read and watch items for assistance). The strategy MUST
be clearly identified in the notes section of the corresponding slide.
2. A demonstration of differentiated instructional strategies during the presentation (refer to
module read and watch items for assistance). The strategy MUST be clearly identified in
the notes section of the corresponding slide.
3. A demonstration of at least one teaching strategy used with English Learners during the
presentation (refer to module read and watch items for assistance). The strategy MUST
be clearly identified in the notes section of the corresponding slide.
4. Evidence of Standards Blending with an English Language Arts Standard (specifically
reading methods and reading in the content area). The strategy MUST be clearly
identified in the notes section of the corresponding slide.
5. Applicable ASCA Mindsets and Behaviors should be verbally and visually identified on a
slide in the presentation.
6. Students should provide at least three citations in current APA format in the presentation.
Citations should be included on the relevant slides.
7. A reference slide should be included at the end of the presentation with at least three
scholarly citations. Any sources cited must have been published within the last five years.
Acceptable sources include class materials or scholarly journal articles. Websites can be
used for activities but please note that only professional websites like ASCA or ACA
count as scholarly sources for citations.
8. Throughout the presentation, the student must be present on the video both audibly and
visually. NO EXCEPTIONS.
9. The presentation is not to exceed 15-20 minutes in length and must meet all the required
objectives as outlined in the previously submitted ASCA lesson plan.
10. You will include two Canvas submissions for this assignment. One will be your recorded
Kaltura video link copied and pasted into a Word document. The second will be your
PowerPoint saved as a pdf which will include your detailed notes and your instructional
strategies identified on the correct corresponding slides.
