Child Development Focused Literature Review

For each of the following Child Development areas below, find two peer-reviewed academic research articles – a total of 10 article reviews. Articles should be no more than 10 years old and do not use direct quotes – I need to assess what you learned, not what someone else wrote. Child Development Research Assignment Topics * Child Development (articles specific to the profession and practice of child development) * Family Systems (articles specific to the function of family units as they relate to the development of children within the family: Note: the focus is on the family system, not just parents) * Child Play (articles specific to the benefits and challenges of play as a child development tool) * Loss/Bereavement (articles specific to the effects of loss or grief in children) * Child Law and Public Policy (articles specific to a current law or public policy that focus on children and/or their development) instructions: * Choose 2 peer-reviewed academic research articles for each child development topic * For each article provide a summary of the research to include the purpose of the research, how the research was conducted, the results and implication for future research. Then provide a brief critique of the article. Each article review should be between 1 and 12 pages in length and use one-inch margins. * Label each article review with the title of the article as the heading. * Submit your paper as a single document, double-spaced. Your assignment will be 10-15 pages in length. * APA format your paper and include a cover page and a full reference page. An abstract or running head should not be used. * Be sure to submit a COMPLETE reference for each source – if I cannot verify from your reference that the source is a peer-reviewed academic journal article, it will not count as a source – see the Purdue Owl APA site for the correct formatting of academic citations and references.
