Its now time to share your CBPR Plans with your peers. In our final discussion, create a PowerPoint presentation to share the following about your CBPR plan:

  1. Choose a Public Health Issue and Community:
  2. Select a public health issue that is relevant to a specific community you have access to or interest in. This could be issues like access to healthy food, chronic disease management, mental health disparities, or environmental health concerns.
  3. Who are the key stakeholders that you could partner with a community organization or agency that already works on this issue?
  4. Outline your Community Assessment:
  5. Describe the methods like community forums, focus groups, or key informant interviews that you will use to gain a deeper understanding of the chosen issue from the community’s perspective.
  6. Identify the community’s assets and resources, as well as any existing programs or initiatives addressing the issue.
  7. Develop Research Questions:
  8. Formulate at least three (3) research questions that are relevant to the community’s needs and priorities, ensuring the research directly addresses the chosen public health issue.
  9. Design a Collaborative Research Plan:
  10. Outline your research methodology, considering methods that are culturally appropriate and empowering for the community. This could include surveys, interviews, focus groups, or Photovoice approaches.
  11. Detail the roles and responsibilities of both researchers and community partners throughout the research process.
  12. Data Collection and Analysis:
  13. Develop a data collection plan that respects the community’s time and resources. Ensure informed consent is obtained from all participants.
  14. Dissemination and Action Planning:
  15. Develop a plan for disseminating research findings to the community and other stakeholders in a clear and accessible format. This could include reports, infographics, or community presentations.
  16. Describe the ways that you will use the projects findings. This might involve advocacy efforts, program development, or policy recommendations to address the public health issue.

Be as creative as you like, using images, graphics, etc. Please include at least five slides in your presentation.
