Overview

Leading educational systems with innovative ideas can often result in resistance. Whenever leading an educational system, you will have people who will follow your lead and those who do not adjust to change as easily. Everett Rogers has created a diffusion of innovation theory that has been an effective framework for educational systems as they adopt innovative technology (Sahin, 2006). For this assignment, you will focus on how you will lead the different adopter categories Rogers (2003) addresses, which are innovators, early adopters, early majority, late majority, and laggards

Instructions

You will create a 510-minute recorded presentation using a presentation tool such as PowerPoint, Sway, Google Docs, Prezi, etc., explaining how you will work with the different adopters from a biblical perspective.

This assignment includes a requirement to incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI). Create a prompt for Microsoft Copilot referencing the Rogers (2003) diffusion of innovation theory and provide specific examples as to how that may be applied.

You will need to think about how Christ worked with these different types of adopters while He was on Earth. Your presentation will need to include the following slides:

Opening Slide– Include Title of Presentation

Slide 2: Briefly describe the different adopters: innovators, early adopters, early majority, late majority, and laggards.

Slide 3: Discuss how you would utilize the innovators, early adopters, and early majority as you lead a system with technology changes. Please reference how Christ worked with these types of people while He was on Earth.

Slide 4: Discuss how you would work with the late majority and laggards as you lead a system with technology changes. Please reference how Christ worked with these types of people while He was here on Earth.

Slide 5: Wrap up your presentation, explain why you believe it is important to lead a system in a way that models Christ.

Slide 6: References. Provide reference listings for all sources cited.

Slide 7: AI Use Disclosure. Any AI content and tools used must be clearly identified and attributed.

You will need to use a screen recorder such as Camtasia, ScreenPal, and Screencastify. Links are located in the Bridging the Gap Presentation Resources. You do not have to use these screen recorders if you have another one you would like to use. Then you will need to upload your video to a location from which a shareable link can be generated (e.g., Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, Kaltura) and submit the link to your video. YouTube may not be used for this assignment. You must use the attached Bridging the Gap Presentation Template for this assignment. You will need to use at least 1 AI source and 2 current (within 5 years), peer-reviewed scholarly references in your presentation.
