For this week’s blog post, we are going to look at the origins and rise of specific controversies, conspiracies or movements. For this assignment you will select one of the following topics to discuss:

• Book bans
• Critical Race Theory
• Birtherism
• Sandy Hook
• Vaccines and autism
• Moon landing
• Global warming

Research your selected topic and write a blog post that informs your audience about the issue, including:

• Background about your issue including a description of the events/subject and what is controversial,
• The origin of the controversy,
• What persuasion tactics or propaganda was used to advance the theory/issue,
• Is the issue resolved? Is there general public acceptance of a certain point of view? If so, how was this accomplished?

As part of your blog post, you will need to include:

• Embedded links to support your research,
• Screenshots or links to examples of the tactics used,
