Please choose one of the following questions to address in your essay. Essays should be 4-5 double-spaced pages in length, must include a title and a thesis statement, and use specific examples from your course materials to support your assertions. All sources of information referenced in your paper should be cited using Turabian format footnotes and bibliography. Outside research may NOT be used for this assignment; however, you may reference any assigned readings, films, and class lectures to support your analysis.
Submissions that do not meet these basic requirements will NOT receive credit.
Essays will be evaluated based on the execution and effectiveness of your argument, analysis, and writing. Please write for a non-specialist audience and be sure to explain the historical context and your ideas fully. Essays that analyze specific examples from written texts and/or draw examples from multiple sources as evidence to support the argument will be more successful than essays that do not incorporate clear evidence or rely only on films or class lectures as sources.
Please save your essay in Microsoft Word (.doc or dox) or .pdf format
