Biography assignment

This research assignment asks you to profile ONE (1) of Canadas Famous Five Suffragettes. Using course material as well as a minimum of five academic sources of your own choosing, you are to write a 4-5 page (double-spaced) biographical report on the individual of your choosing.

Consider the following:

Early Life: Family circumstances, education, circumstances that ignited passion in the Womens Movement

Occupation: Examine their rise in their chosen profession, major contributions to their field, and how their career choice created a pathway towards the Suffrage Movement

Activism: Profile specific instances of activism related to the Womens movement these might include suffrage, temperance, legal rights etc. Also consider HOW they advocated for these causes

The Courts: Explore the chosen individuals role in the Persons Case, as well as any other major court battles of which they were a part.

Legacy: Examine how Canada has honored/memorialize these women. Try to find multiple examples. Comment on each and also provide an image of the memorial where possible (one minimum)

The assignment is due on February 17 by 11.59pm. It is worth 20% of your grade. Please be sure to include a Works Referenced List in addition to your 4+ pages of content.
