Part One

Read, listen and to learn about the Browning couple (poets) and Romanticism.

During this part take careful notes.

**Answer the following questions in well-developed paragraphs:**

1 What is the main theme of Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s poetry?

2 What is the main theme of Robert Browing’s poetry?

3 Did these ideas of love help the society then?

4 Can you define your own idea of love and relationships?

5 Although they may represent another time and place, can you relate to the core values in these poems? How? Be specific.

Part Two:

In about three pages (double spaced) discuss the themes in the Modern Romanticism Website. How do modern tv and films lean back to this idea of Romanticism? Please confine your discussion to the clean-PG type.

Include in your discussion your views of friendship, love, relationships.

Be sure to include your perspective and refer to any of the resources/sources.
