- Listening to Chapter 15, one of the truths that encourages my heart is the true definition of the church. Often, people equate going to church with attending a physical building and participating in sermons and worship together. However, within the congregation, there may be individuals with immoral or sinful behaviors, including hatred and malice. This reality can sometimes lead to feelings of betrayal or disillusionment, causing some to withdraw from the church community.
- How has your perspective on your role as a Christian social worker developed or deepened through this course?
Focus on having compassion for others who are marginalized and oppressed.
- Whats one area of growth you are excited to pursue as you continue in the MSW program?
I am excited to pursue the program in general to become duly licensed and support those suffering from mental health and disease of addiction.
