Milestone 2- OVERVIEW: The Research Project will be submitted in three milestones before submission of the final project. This 2nd milestone will become the first half of the essay. Choose two indicators from your data tables with significant differences between the county and state to present. Then, begin the narrative section of the essay by reading and following the detailed directions for Section II on the Health Assessment Project Outline found in the course Table of Contents under the header “IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS TO PRINT” and on the Module 1 Assignments page.
GENERAL NOTES:
- Add this milestone to your previous work so you are submitting the entire document draft to date including the cover page, the body of the paper, references page, and appendix (data tables should be placed at the end of the document after References as an Appendix).
- Since the final essay must present 4 indicators and be a minimum of 2,000 words (approximately 8 pages double-spaced), this half of the essay must present 2 indicators and be a minimum of 1,000 words (approximately 4 pages double-spaced).
Milestone 3- OVERVIEW:
The Research Project will be submitted in three milestones prior to submission of the final project. This 3rd milestone will become the second half of the essay. The final project must be submitted as one cohesive double-spaced, APA formatted document in the following order: cover page, body of the essay (including introductory and concluding paragraphs), reference page, and appendix for data tables. No abstract or running head is needed. The document should be page numbered top right.
FOR THIS MILESTONE:

Then, continue the essay by reading and following the detailed directions on the Health Assessment Project Outline found in the course Table of Contents under the header “IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS TO PRINT” and on the Module 1 Assignments page.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON GRADING:
This quality of this milestone will be scored on the same rubric that will be used on your final course project to give you a mock assessment of how this section would score if it were included in the final submission. However, the score entered in the gradebook for this milestone will be either all 20 points (100%), 19 points (95%). 18 points (90%), 17 points (85%), 15 points (75%), 13 points (65%), or zero points (0%).
GENERAL NOTES:

- Since the final essay must be a minimum of 2,000 words, this half of the essay must be an additional 1,000 words which is approximately 4 additional full pages double-spaced, not including the title page, reference list, or data tables.
- DO NOT submit this milestone unless it has first been checked and corrected for spelling and grammar. Depending on the quality of the milestone submissions, you may also be required to submit your draft to the UWF OWL Writing Lab for review. DO NOT allow an AI Assistant (such as the one in Grammarly) or generative tool (such as ChatGPT) change either your writing style or sentence structure – all writing must be your own.
