3. Write a short (3-5 page – double-spaced, so around 750-1000 words) analysis of the story your photos/video tell about your food justice topic.
In the analysis, please do each of these things:
Clearly state your topic, briefly noting why you chose it or why it was interesting to you.
Select 34 key images or scenes and analyze how they connect to and/or what they can teach about your topic.
Clearly include at least 3 course concepts/theories/ideas in your overall analysis (not three per image/scene).
Briefly summarize what your visual elements overall and your analysis reveal about your food justice topic.
Briefly discuss what you would do if you were going to conduct further sociological research on this topic, noting at least one sociological research method you might use.
If/when including direct quotes from our course materials, please include a citation in your preferred style. (Author and page number is fine, and you don’t need to include a References section/page if you’re only referencing content from our course.)
So what you’ll submit in Canvas for this project is:
a file that contains your photos (with a brief caption for each) or video (with captions, voiceover, or a descriptive companion document)
a 3-5 page written analysis
