Assignment 1: Quiz Question 2 Seven times this semester, you will submit a multiple-choice question on one of the assigned readings. The question should be clear and understandable to your peers and directly connected to one of the assigned readings. In addition to the question, you will provide the answer as well as a reference to support the answer (including page number if available). Questions that follow instructions will automatically receive 10 points. If any aspect is missing (question, possible answers, correct answer and reference), points will be deducted. The week a question is due, I will provide guidelines that include the readings the question should be created from. Note that if a student submits a question that is very similar to another student in any discussion section, the students will receive all receive a 0 for the question (this means that you should avoid using AI to generate questions, as it often generates the same or very similar responses to prompts). Late quiz questions can be turned in up to 24 hours after the due date with TA or instructor permission. No late quiz questions will be accepted beyond the 24-hour extension period unless there is an emergency and the impacted student contacts TA before the due date. For Quiz Question #2 Write a multiple choice question about one of the key concepts from one of the following readings/videos: * Benson et al., Developing a Nonsexist/Nongendered Language Policy * Febos, The Mirror Test Tips: * Consider beginning questions with “Who,” “What,” “Why,” “Which,” “When,” or ‘How” phrases. * Instead of WWWWWH phrases, you can also ask questions that use “All of the Above,” “None of the Above,” or “Except” words. * Review the key concepts or terms from the reading. What important element do you think students should know about the reading/video? How might you write a question about this concept? * In the question, provide useful context about the author or reading to help clue the reader into what they should be looking for or focusing on regarding the question. * When providing your answer choices, make sure the choices are easily distinguishable from each other. * Use key words from the reading/video in the question and answer choices if possible. * Reread your questions and possible choices: how might your peers’ interpret the question? Is there any aspect that might be confusing or need to be explained in more detail? You want questions to be clear and understandable. She is too humiliated to tell her mother because she believes that if she says she has been called a slut she will be admitting to being one. B.
